FB/TE Bruce Figgins, Georgia

Ravens, UDFA. Ga.: Good size for inline TE.

Positives: OK hands and athleticism. Solid blocker who works hard to sustain. Adequate upper-body strength. Adequate lateral quickness for the size.

Negatives: Slow speed. Below-average change-of-direction ability.

Projection: May compete for a backup FB or TE position, but that’s about it.

FB Cody Johnson, Texas

Buccaneers, UDFA. Tex.: Great FB size — almost inline TE size.

Positives: Effective short-yardage back. Good body lean and gets low. Tough runner with good leg drive. Quick feet to move laterally. Above-average speed for the size. Adequate burst. Adequate run blocker and can drive defender back.

Projection: May earn the FB spot on the team and potentially fill in for LeGarrette Blount occasionally. Not fantasy relevant unless he starts vulturing goal-line carries from Doug Martin and Blount.

WR Nelson Rosario, UCLA

Jaguars, UDFA. UCLA: Great size — almost big enough to be an H-back. Good hand size.

Positives: Long wingspan. Shows good effort on errant passes. Very good track speed for his size. Adequate burst and acceleration.

Negatives: Suspect hands.

Projection: Is one of several WRs trying to be the team’s last WR. On the Jaguars, that’s not a fantasy-relevant position.

WR/PR Taylor Embree, UCLA

Chargers, UDFA. UCLA: Good size and hand size.

Positives: Very good tracking and hands. Adequate speed. Reportedly runs good routes.

Negatives: Doesn’t look very effective gaining YAC. Runs a little out of control. Doesn’t field punts cleanly. Not as physical as his size should make him.

Projection: Will compete for 6th WR spot and returner position. Practice squad material.

WR Brandon Carswell, USC

Raiders, UDFA. S. Cal.: Above-average size and hand size. Jaguars, Patriots, and Falcons have shown interest.

Positives: Fair acceleration, effort and body control, and can adjust very well to errant passes. Quick in and out of his breaks. Above-average hands. Gives good effort blocking downfield. Adequate track speed.

Projection: On a crowded depth chart, his best bet is the practice squad.

WR/TE LaMark Brown II, Minnesota-Mankato

Falcons, UDFA. Minn. St.-Mankato: Small H-back size. Great hand size.

Positives: Can extend and snag ball, holding it even with big hit. Good hands overall. Very good body control and adjusts very well to errant passes. Good deep separation with solid double-moves. Tough to bring down after the catch. Fights through traffic to get into routes. Versatile: also played RB in college. Above-average track speed for the size. Very good change-of-direction ability and lateral movement.

Negatives: Below-average upper-body strength.

Projection: Was apparently brought into camp as a TE instead of a WR. At TE, he may not have the upper-body strength to be at all effective as a blocker, but his receiving skill and athleticism are huge pluses. Should make the team as an H-back, and actually has the skills to be a very nice producer. With Tony Gonzalez probably leaving after 2012, could be a nice deep sleeper. Probably don’t draft, but watch for any signs of production from him.

TE Taylor Thompson, SMU

Titans, 5th round. SMU: Good size for the TE position. Good hand size.

Positives: Long wingspan. Versatile and athletic — was a defensive lineman in college, but a TE in high school. Reportedly very good hands. Reportedly above-average speed.

Projection: I haven’t seen him play TE, but he worked there during the Players All-Star Classic in February, and impressed a lot of people. He’s obviously a project, but will be given a chance to develop like Jared Cook has had. I wouldn’t draft him, but I’ll watch him to potentially add later if he starts to see snaps on offense.

WR Toney Clemons, Colorado

Steelers, 7th round. Colo.: Good size. Average hand size. Jaguars and Steelers have shown interest.

Positives: Very good track speed for the size. Above-average acceleration. Reportedly is a savvy route runner.

Negatives: Looks like he has trouble changing directions. Reportedly extends well to catch passes outside of frame.

Projection: I haven’t seen much of him outside of highlights, but I also haven’t heard much hype about him. May just be a camp body or practice squad candidate.

WR Travis Benjamin, Miami

Browns, 4th round. Miami: Below-average size.

Positives: Great track speed. Adequate upper-body strength. Adequate acceleration.

Negatives: Tends to catch with his body rather than his hands. Seems to have some trouble tracking passes over shoulder and on punts.

Projection: Outside of Greg Little, the Browns WR depth chart seems pretty fluid. Might be their 5th WR right now, but could easily see some starting opportunities. Fast and quick enough to break some big plays, but inconsistent enough to be frustrating. Draft worthy in fantasy, but shouldn’t be a priority. May put up WR5 numbers if he gets playing time, but that’s all I can see for him.

RB Bryce Brown, Kansas State

Eagles, 7th round. Kan. St. Good size. Junior who has declared for 2012 draft.

Positives: Excellent track speed. Adequate upper-body strength and burst.

Negatives: Reportedly very poor pass blocker.

Projection: On a thin depth chart, but will compete with Chris Polk and Graig Cooper for backup RB position, and potentially Dion Lewis. Will definitely need to improve his blocking before they’ll let him on the field, so I wouldn’t expect much from him in 2012 even if he makes the team.
