Jaydon Mickens, WR/KR, Washington – 2016

Postseason events: NFLPA Bowl.

Positives: Runs with above-average speed and acceleration. Excellent lateral quickness and jump cut and is very elusive in the open field – borne out by his testing numbers during his pro day (which were ridiculously good). Generally adequate hands and can extend when stationary. Seemed improved by NFLPA Bowl practices, where he extended for passes well. Above-average body control and can bring in passes while twisting. Gives good effort for off-target passes and over the middle in traffic. Not afraid to catch in traffic despite his lack of size. Above-average open field vision and patience. Runs with adequate track speed. Adequate upper-body strength. Adequate vertical leap and broad jump for the position.

Negatives: Below-average height for the position, with a slight build. Seems to misjudge passes in the air, and will sometimes mistime his jumps. Tends to body catch and drop some passes when he has to extend on the run. Will consistently slip trying to make a big cut – either after the catch or during his routes.

Projection: Round 7.
