Jared Dangerfield, WR, Western Kentucky – 2016

Former junior college transfer.

Postseason events: Shrine Game.

Positives: Was a redshirt senior, so he doesn’t lack experience. Above-average height and bulk for the position, with a solid build and adequate hand size. Adequate speed and acceleration. Generally above-average hands and effort and can extend for passes away from his body and lay out to bring in passes at full extension. Concentrates very well on contested passes and passes in traffic. Tracks passes well over either shoulder. Fairly nimble on the sidelines. Adequate body control, and can twist to bring in passes thrown behind him. Adequate acceleration after the catch. Strong enough to be able to bowl over smaller defenders.

Negatives: Though his hands are above average, the ball will hit his hands hard at times. Below-average balance making cuts. Not deceptive in his routes. A little slow to stop his momentum on hitch routes. Needs to finish his routes, and will sometimes improvise. Below-average ball security in the open field. Needs to know when to get out of bounds in the two-minute drill.

Projection: Undrafted free agent.
