Kenneth Farrow, RB, Houston – 2016

Chargers, UDFA.

Postseason Events: College Gridiron Showcase.

Positives: Above-average bulk for the position. He is a fairly patient runner with above-average vision and waits for blocks to develop. Fairly quick feet. Above-average ability to change directions and accelerate out of his cuts. Elusive in the open field. Gets low in short-yardage situations and churns very well for extra yards. Good second effort and will finish runs with lowered shoulder and has a nice stiffarm. Maintains his balance well after contact. Okay hands. Willing run blocker who will cut block outside defenders. Very good vertical leap. Above-average lower-body explosiveness in pro day tests. Above-average quickness side to side and when accelerating out of cuts in pro day tests. Above-average upper-body strength.

Negatives: Slightly below-average height for the position. Below-average track speed, and generally below-average game speed and burst. Doesn’t seem to have a second gear. A bit of a hothead. Needs to be more decisive in short yardage situations and just going north-south. Below-average ball security technique and holds the ball too low through the line and through traffic. Injured ankle in November 2015 and missed two games.

Projection: Undrafted free agent.
