Ben Braunecker, TE/FB, Harvard-FCS – 2016

Postseason Events: NFLPA Bowl and NFL Combine.

Positives: Adequate bulk for the position. Adequate hand size. Very good hands, and can extend and adjust very well. Fight hard for yards after the catch, and is pretty hard to bring down. Good effort on off target passes and will lay out. Nice body control on off target passes. Above-average concentration on contested passes and when hit is coming. Above-average track speed for the position. Above-average vertical leap and lower body explosiveness in Combine drills. Very good ability to change directions with burst in Combine drills.

Negatives: Slightly below-average height for the position – built more like an H-back or fullback. Below-average upper body strength. Below-average acceleration after the catch.

Projection: Round 5. He looks more like a fullback to me than a tight end, and that might push him down farther in the draft.
