Bryce Williams, TE, East Carolina – 2016

Postseason Events: Senior Bowl and NFL Combine.

Positives: Very good height and bulk for the position, with above-average hand size. Above-average hands and can extend fairly well. Tracks passes well over his inside shoulder. Is surprisingly quick off the line for his size. Fights for yards after the catch. Willing to sacrifice his body as a run blocker. Able to change directions with burst pretty quickly.

Negatives: He is a little slow in his routes, with below-average quickness out of his breaks. Has to dial it down a lot to stop his momentum. Needs to get better depth in his routes in the red zone to make sure he caches passes in the end zone. Needs to fight harder for contested passes and go and get it instead of letting the ball get to him. Though he is able to extend well, too many passes get to his body. Inconsistent concentration and will sometimes look up field before securing the pass. Below-average track speed for the position, and slow off the line. Poor vertical leap for the position. Below-average lower body explosiveness in Combine drills. Below-average upper body strength.

Projection: Round 6.
