Glenn Gronkowski, FB/TE, Kansas State – 2016

Postseason Events: Senior Bowl and NFL Combine.

Positives: Great height and good bulk for a fullback. He is another in a long line of Gronkowskis trying to reach the NFL, so he has a good bloodline. Adequate hand size. Okay hands and can extend. Pretty solid and effortless run blocker. Consistently pushes his defender back. Keeps a solid base and good leverage. Sets the edge well as an in-line tight end on outside runs. Adequate vertical leap and broad jump for the position. Adequate ability to change directions with burst in Combine drills. Was used as a tight end at the Senior Bowl after being used mostly as a fullback in college.

Negatives: Short and slight for a tight end. Below-average game speed and track speed for the position. Below-average upper body strength. Needs to run with higher knees through the line. Not much explosion after making cuts.

Projection: Round 5. Though he has adequate receiving skills, I think he’ll be used as a fullback/H-back in the NFL rather than as a full-on tight end. His blocking ability should make him a solid contributor.
