Nick Boyle, TE/FB/LS, Delaware-FCS – 2015

All-Star Games: Senior Bowl.

Positives: Above-average height for the position, with very good bulk, huge hands, and a long wingspan. Runs adequate routes. Shows fair concentration on difficult catches and when he has to adjust his body. Has generally above-average hands, and can extend well for passes away from his body. Is athletic and can hurtle defenders in the open field after the catch. Pretty solid run blocker who will try to block multiple defenders on one play.

Negatives: Below-average speed for the size. Isn’t deceptive in his routes and lacks quickness out of his breaks – consistently telegraphing when he is going to be making a cut. Though he can avoid tacklers after the catch, he doesn’t show much power to fight through contact. Suspect tracking over his outside shoulder. Has a bit of a hard time concentrating on passes thrown behind him. Has trouble staying with quicker defenders as a blocker.

Projection: Round 7.
