MyCole Pruitt, TE/FB, Southern Illinois – 2015

All-Star Games: Shrine Game.

Positives: Has adequate bulk for a tight end, and great height and bulk for a fullback. Has good long speed. Has above-average – and very soft – hands and can extend pretty well for passes away from his frame. Fights for contested passes and has the concentration to come down with passes in traffic. Good effort on off-target passes and is willing to go to the ground for off-target passes. Is an adequate run blocker and pass blocker when he latches on and pushes straight ahead. Strong after the catch.  Above-average hand size and long arms, with a good catch radius. Is a fair downfield blocker.

Negatives: As a tight end, he lacks height. Though an adequate blocker at times, he has a lot of trouble against speed rushers. He doesn’t always complete his routes, and is slow in and out of his breaks.  Adequate-at-best acceleration. Below-average tracking over inside shoulder.

Projection: Round 4. Is a solid H-back/fullback prospect who can help a lot of teams in the passing game. Needs a lot of coaching up on his blocking.
