Andrew Hendrix, QB, Miami-Ohio – 2015

Was a redshirt senior. Transferred from Notre Dame in 2013.

All-Star Games: NFLPA Game.

Positives: Above-average bulk for the position. Throws with a fairly quick release and pretty good anticipation on crossing and out routes. Has adequate accuracy on short patterns and rollouts, and has nice touch on fade passes.

Negatives: Ran a spread offense, so he may not be ready for a conventional NFL offense. Below-average height for the position. Seems to lock onto receivers and miss much better opportunities on fourth down. Will check down even when an outside receiver is obviously open – maybe he made his decision before the snap? Maybe he just locks onto receivers? Doesn’t seem to sense or be able to invade the rush up the middle. Holds the ball too long and consistently and needs to know when to throw the ball away. Will just throw it up under pressure. Throws off of his back foot for no reason. Throws across his body on the run. Below-average velocity and his passes tend to wobble and fall short when he has to drive them. Generally poor deep accuracy, and has a definite tendency to underthrow receivers. Below-average ball security on the move and will hold the ball in one hand under pressure. Below-average speed and quickness.

Projection: UDFA.
