Bills, 3rd round. N.C. St.: Slightly below-average size. Average hand size. Was on early Shrine Game roster, but opted for Senior Bowl.
Positives: Above-average speed, but great track speed. Good downfield blocker. Adequate hands. Adjusts well to ball. Above-average speed and quickness. Consistently comes back to help QB. Tough to bring down. Very good balance after contact. Reliable hands on punt returner. Nimble feet on sideline. Quick into breaks. Decisive KR and smart punt returner decisions.
Negatives: Drops easy passes at times. Seems to have trouble judging punts. Suspect balance. Doesn’t get good positioning against CBs. Doesn’t get much separation. Not a strong downfield blocker. Weak upper body.
Projection: Should be a solid slot WR on the Bills, where he can use his solid route running and speed best. He’ll battle David Nelson at the position, and it’s slightly better than 50/50 that he’ll win. I expect him to put up WR4 numbers eventually, but is bench material in 2012.
