TE DC Jefferson, Rutgers

Cardinals, 7th round. Rutgers: Good size. Great hand size.

Positives: Makes diving catches. Adequate speed for the size and is fast enough to get to second level and engage defenders as a blocker. Former high school QB. Fair run blocker. Adequate overall athleticism.

Negatives: Loses leverage easily as a blocker. Below-average routes and tends to drift a bit. Suspect pass blocker. Injured pec at Combine.

Projection: Not likely to make an impact in the NFL.

WR Charles Johnson, Grand Valley State

Packers, 7th round. Grand Valley St.: Good size.

Positives: Excellent track speed for the size. Very good overall athleticism. Adequate upper-body strength. Reportedly above-average routes. Reportedly above-average acceleration. Above-average body control and can make adjustments for the tough catch. Nimble on sidelines.

Negatives: Reportedly inconsistent hands. Suspect ability to plant feet and get in and out of breaks quickly.

Projection: Is a project, but is athletic enough to stick on a practice squad and for a team to take the time to groom him.

FB Tommy Bohanon, Wake Forest

Jets, 7th round. Wake Forest: Very good size for the position. Above-average hand size.

Positives: Above-average hands. Not easy to bring down and fights through contact. Great upper-body strength. Adequate speed.

Negatives: Below-average quickness.

Projection: Is a solid prospect and only has Lex Hilliard in front of him at FB. Has the skills to win that battle, but the nature of the position still means he has little fantasy relevance.

TE Michael Williams, Alabama

Lions, 7th round. Ala.: Great size. Great hand size.

Positives: Consistently adjusts well to errant passes. Solid, pile-driving run blocker who can win and get to the next level. Large, reliable hands can snag fast passes. Good feet and slides well to block speedy pass rushers. Runs adequate routes. Tracks passes well over outside shoulder.

Negatives: Hands aren’t very soft, and he doesn’t look like a natural receiver. Slow, with below-average acceleration. Poor overall athleticism.

Projection: Goes to a team with two established starters at TE in Brandon Pettigrew and Tony Scheffler, but their future with the team is cloudy after 2013. Has the all-around skills and excellent blocking ability to be a big part of goal-line and short-yardage packages and could be a sneaky TE3 in 2013. TE2 potential in 2014 and beyond.

WR Brice Butler, San Diego State

Raiders, 7th round. San Diego St.: Very good height and adequate bulk. Average hand size. Above-average hands and can extend and snag and make the tough catch. Very good tracking. Good body control and adjusts very well to tough passes. Excellent speed, quickness and overall athleticism.

Negatives: Below-average concentration on contested passes. Not much YAC and often falls after the catch.

Projection: Has the skills and physical ability to be a contributor in the NFL, but is behind Denarius Moore and Juron Criner right away. Probably no need to draft except in deep leagues, but keep an eye on him. He’s probably an injury away from being a starter in Oakland — not a primo spot on offense these days, but still…

FB Braden Wilson, Kansas State

Chiefs, 6th round. Kan. St.: Great size for a FB — large enough to be a TE. Great hand size.

Positives: Adequate speed for the size. Adequate upper-body strength. Adequate athleticism.

Projection: Goes to a team without an established starter at FB, so he may end up as the starter. And FBs in Andy Reid offenses tend to be used as receivers at times. But he’s not going to be fantasy-relevant.

TE Ryan Griffin, Connecticut

Texans, 6th round. Conn.: Very good height and adequate bulk. Above-average hand size.

Positives: Adequate speed for the size.

Negatives: Inconsistent hands and sometimes fights passes toward his chest. Poor ball security. Below-average pass blocker and gets pushed back into pocket. Lacks lateral quickness to block outside moves of speed rushers.

Projection: Will enter camp as likely the 3rd or 4th TE on the roster. Not draftable, and likely only sticks on a practice squad.

RB Theo Riddick, Notre Dame

Lions, 6th round. Notre Dame: Adequate height but slightly below-average bulk. Below-average hand size.

Positives: Above-average speed and adequate quickness and burst. Good hands and can extend. Good second effort. Fair cutback vision. Also used out of WR positions.

Negatives: Below-average track speed and upper-body strength. Below-average power — keeps legs moving through contact but seems weak. Runs too upright. Suspect balance. Runs a little out of control. Below-average ball security — holds ball too loosely when making moves.

Projection: Not likely to make much of an impact on the Lions or any team, really. Doesn’t do anything well enough to be a threat.

WR Cobi Hamilton, Arkansas

Bengals, 6th round. Ark.: Good size. Below-average hand size.

Positives: Good hands and can extend as well as scoop to make the catch. Above-average speed. Fair lateral quickness.

Negatives: Below-average acceleration off of the line. Below-average track speed for the size. Poor athleticism in Combine measurements. Suspect routes. Slow in and out of breaks. Gets little separation.

Projection: Probably enters camp as the team’s 5th WR. Should stick on roster, but isn’t likely to ever make an NFL impact.

WR Alan Bonner, Jacksonville State

Texans, 6th round. Jacksonville St.: Slightly below-average size. Average hand size.

Positives: Is able to extend to catch at times. Willing downfield blocker. Average upper-body strength.

Negatives: Suspect hands — body catches often. Suspect body control — has trouble adjusting to ball. Below-average speed. Below-average explosiveness in Combine measurements.

Projection: Not likely to make much of an impact in the NFL. Won’t be able to get open consistently in NFL and lacks the hands to take advantage of defenses when he does.
