David Frazier, WR/PR, Miami-Ohio – 2015

All-Star Games: Medal of Honor Bowl.

Positives: Runs with adequate speed. Runs generally above-average routes with a nice double move. Doesn’t look afraid to go over the middle and shows good concentration when a hit is coming. Generally above-average hands and seldom lets the ball get to his body. Gives effort after the catch for extra yards. Adequate balance after contact. Above-average cutback vision on punt returns. Generally smart punt return fielding decisions. Fair downfield run blocker.

Negatives: Slightly below-average height and bulk for the position. Tends to continue to drift backwards after turning around in zone routes. Doesn’t give a whole lot of extra effort after the play is past him.

Projection: UDFA.

JJ Nelson, WR/PR, Alabama-Birmingham – 2015

All-Star Games: Medal of Honor Bowl.

Positives: Runs with adequate speed and is pretty quick off of the line. Okay hands and can extend slightly on the run. Has above-average vision, and is fairly elusive in the open field. Is able to get himself in good position for the fair catch on punts.

Negatives: Has a hard time extending far away from his body. Doesn’t make good decisions as a punt returner and will let the ball bounce and field it in traffic. Looks a little bit contact shy and will fall down before getting hit. Doesn’t move very suddenly on returns and is pretty easy to catch from behind. Needs to give better effort on contested passes and box out defenders.

Projection: Round 7

Nimble on the sidelines and can get his feet down while outstretched. Moves well after the catch.

Negatives: Below-average bulk for the position. Questionable concentration on some passes where he is off balance. Below-average hands on difficult catches. Injured knee in October 2014 and missed rest of season, and wasn’t fully healed for his personal Pro Day in April 2015.

Positives: Adequate height and bulk for the position. Has pretty strong hands. Above-average body control and can adjust well to off-target passes. Above-average balance after contact. Is a willing downfield blocker.

Negatives: Runs below-average routes, and rounds them off too often or cut routes short of the first down marker. Has inconsistent hands – the ball consistently gets to his body and he sometimes has trouble extending. Risky punt returner decisions and gets too close to the bouncing ball. Will also field the ball inside the 10. Seems to misjudge punts in the air. Doesn’t head downfield quickly after the catch and seems to dance around too much.

Projection: UDFA.

Doesn’t get as much separation on comeback routes as on his deep routes. Doesn’t have very deceptive moves and isn’t very hard to get a hold of after the catch.

Projection: UDFA.
