Rashard Higgins, WR, Colorado State – 2016

Browns, Round 5. Declared early for the 2016 NFL Draft.

Postseason events: NFL Combine.

Positives: Above-average height and adequate bulk for the position, with above-average hand size. Runs with adequate speed and above-average quickness and changes directions pretty well in the open field. Runs adequate routes, and is quick into and out of his breaks. Isn’t afraid to go over the middle. Shows consistently above-average hands and body control, and can extend and adjust well. Generally above-average concentration, especially when a hit is coming over the middle. Knows when to get out of bounds in the two-minute drill. Tough – injured shoulder in October 2014 but missed no time. Willing and effective downfield blocker.

Negatives: Though his routes are adequate, he tends to round off his breaks. Inconsistent concentration – will drop too many easy ones he should come down with. Below-average track speed for the position. Poor vertical leap in Combine drills. Below-average broad jump at his pro day. Poor quickness side to side and when accelerating out of cuts at his pro day measurements. Below-average upper-body strength.

Pre-Draft Projection: Round 3.
