Max McCaffrey, WR, Duke – 2016

Raiders, UDFA.

Postseason events: NFLPA Bowl.

Positives: As the son of Ed McCaffrey and brother of Christian McCaffrey, he has solid bloodlines. Good height and adequate bulk for the position, with a build similar to his father’s. Gives good effort on off-target passes. Shows good concentration on tipped passes. Good effort as a downfield run blocker. Adequate vertical leap and broad jump for the position. Above-average lateral quickness in pro day tests.

Negatives: Not very crisp in his routes and doesn’t get much separation. Doesn’t adjust very well to passes thrown behind him on the move. Suspect hands when extending for passes away from his body. Poor track speed for the position. Below-average ability to change directions with burst in pro day tests. Weak upper body.

Projection: Undrafted free agent.
