Bryce Treggs, WR/PR/KR, California – 2016

Postseason events: NFLPA Bowl.

Positives: Runs with above-average game speed and acceleration and good track speed. Though his routes were below average in the games I saw, he was a lot quicker during NFLPA Bowl practices. Above-average body control, and adjusts to off-target passes well. Nice concentration on contested passes over the middle. Extends well and shows good effort – will layout. Tracks passes well over either shoulder. Adequate lateral quickness at pro day tests. Adequate upper-body strength. Is also a gunner on punt coverage.

Negatives: Below-average height and bulk for the position. Runs below-average routes and rounds off his out routes. Needs to be more aware of when a pass is coming his way. Inconsistent concentration and drops some super-easy ones in the end zone. Also tends to short-arm passes when he knows a big hit is coming. Lacks awareness of the first down marker and will dance trying to break the big play instead of just plowing forward for the first down. Inconsistent fair catch decisions and doesn’t always field the ball cleanly on the run. Below-average vertical leap and broad jump at pro day tests. Below-average ability to change directions with burst in pro day tests.

Projection: Undrafted free agent.
