Devon Blackmon, WR, BYU – 2016

2014 transfer from junior college.

Positives: Adequate height for the position. Generally reliable hands and concentration. Above-average body and can adjust well on difficult catches. Extends pretty well at times for passes away from his frame. Adequate track speed for the position.

Negatives: Below-average bulk for the position and height. Inconsistent hands, and he tends to body catch. Has a hard time bringing in passes thrown slightly behind him or in traffic. Needs to keep his head in the game, and wasted time complaining about a call while the defender was running back an interception. Poor vertical leap and general lower-body explosiveness in pro day tests. Below-average lateral quickness and poor ability to change directions with burst in pro day tests. Fairly weak upper body. Suspended from first game of 2014 for honor code violation related to wearing earrings.

Projection: Undrafted free agent.
