Marteze Waller, RB, Fresno State – 2016

Postseason Events: Late addition to the NFLPA Bowl.

Positives: Though his acceleration is a little slow, he runs with adequate long speed. He runs with above-average power and finishes his runs pretty strong. Above-average cutback vision and lateral quickness for inside runs. Sheds arm tackles pretty easily. He shows consistent patients when he picks his way through traffic. OK hands.

Negatives: Below-average burst, quickness and change of direction ability. He is a little too hesitant behind the line on outside runs. He isn’t very quick to change directions, and has to dial it down a lot before changing directions in the open field. Sometimes seems to seek out contact rather than change directions, and looks less effective on outside runs. Below-average hands and body catches consistently – even bobbling easy screen passes. Also has trouble adjusting to passes thrown behind him.

Projection: Undrafted free agent.
