Beau Sandland, TE, Montana State-FCS – 2016

Panthers, Round 7. Transferred to Miami from junior college in 2013. Then transferred to Montana State for 2015 season.

Postseason Events: NFLPA Bowl and NFL Combine.

Positives: Above-average height and bulk for the position. Great hand size. Generally adequate hands, though he had a lot of trouble in the Combine gauntlet drill. Tracks passes fairly well over either shoulder. Runs with above-average track speed and quickness off the line. Above-average vertical leap. Good lower-body explosiveness in Combine drills. Above-average ability to change directions with burst in Combine drills. Adequate upper-body strength.

Negatives: His trouble in the Combine gauntlet drill may indicate need for work on receiving. Needs to maintain ball security through traffic.

Pre-Draft Projection: Round 6. I haven’t seen him play much, and this projection is based on what I’ve heard of others’ expectations.
