Was a redshirt senior. Transferred to Washington State in 2013 after one year of junior-college football.
All-Star Games: Senior Bowl.
Positives: Though relatively inexperienced at wide receiver (he was a LB/RB in high school and didn’t play football the first two years of college) he’s already at a fairly high level, and may be improving). Has good height and bulk for the position. Runs with adequate game speed. Though he doesn’t make quick cuts, his routes are usually precise. Leaves a good sideline cushion on deep routes, allowing him to adjust to passes. Above-average hands and can extend well – and pretty fearlessly even in traffic. Concentrates fairly well on contested passes. Tracks passes well over his inside shoulder. Good effort for off-target passes. Heads upfield very quickly after the catch.
Negatives: Inexperienced at the wide receiver position. Will body catch at times. Will round off his routes at times. Below-average acceleration and not very quick out of his breaks – doesn’t seem to get separation easily in his routes and off the line. Below-average balance after his cuts and will slip out of his breaks. Below-average hand size. Broke his right thumb in the 2015 Senior Bowl and was limited in Combine workouts.
Projection: Round 4.
