All-Star Games: Senior Bowl.
Positives: Has adequate height and bulk for the position. Accelerates quickly off of the line and runs with good speed. Has good lateral quickness to sidestep the first defender on screens. Runs above-average routes and can set up defenders well for the deep routes. Good tracking over his outside shoulder. Has above-average hands in general, and can extend well. Above-average concentration on contested passes. Adjusts well for off-target passes. Comes back to help quarterback in trouble. Strong after the catch. Is very athletic and was a high jump champion in college. Is also a gunner on the punt team.
Negatives: Below-average vision as a kick returner– gets too far into traffic before making a move, seeming to depend too much on speed and quickness. Isn’t particularly sudden out of his breaks, though he has the acceleration to go after the ball. Suspect concentration and will drop some easy passes coming out of his breaks and over the middle. Below-average tracking over his outside shoulder. Doesn’t get good position on contested passes. Below-average hand size.
Projection: Round 3. A solid deep threat, he doesn’t have as well-rounded of a game as Phillip Dorsett, who should go higher. Will almost definitely still end up as some team’s deep threat and kick returner, and do well at it.
