Kyle Prater, WR, Northwestern – 2015

Transferred from USC in 2013.

All-Star Games: Medal of Honor Bowl.

Positives: Great height and bulk for the position – nearly H-back size. Is willing to get physical with cornerbacks, and uses his hands pretty well to get open off the line. Willing to go up in traffic to get passes. Pretty good concentration on contested passes. Tracks well over his inside shoulder.

Negatives: Has inconsistent hands, and the ball tends to get to his body – although he can extend at times. Below-average routes and seems slow to get into his breaks and will round off his out routes. Slow feet. Also needs to give better sideline cushion on go routes. Below-average acceleration off the line. Suspect balance, and will slip making cuts.

Projection: UDFA.
