Ezell Ruffin, WR, San Diego State – 2015

All-Star Games: Shrine Game.

Positives: Has good bulk for the position, and is built more like a running back than a wide receiver. Runs with adequate game speed. Shows good effort on off-target passes. Is a willing downfield blocker.

Negatives: Slightly below-average height for the position, and has small hands. Has inconsistent hands and concentration, and sometimes drops easy passes – even when wide open. Adjusts very well to underthrown passes. Reportedly had big trouble in slippery conditions at Shrine Game practices. Though willing, he is a weak downfield blocker. Consistently poor explosiveness and lateral quickness in Pro Day and Combine drills. Did not play in 2014 bowl game due to team rule violation. Broke his collarbone in 2014 and missed several games. Sprained wrist in Shrine Game practices.

Projection: UDFA.
