Desmond Roland, RB, Oklahoma State – 2015

Positives: Above-average burst and quickness. Above-average cutback vision. Above-average balance after contact. Is a decisive one-cut-and-go runner. Seems fairly agile in the open field. Picks his way through traffic at the line well. Can dig his foot into the ground and jump cut around defenders behind the line. Keeps churning and runs determined. Keeps moving forward even when making moves. Okay hands. Seems to improve over the course of a game as he gets the rhythm.

Negatives: Below-average speed. Seems slow to make decisions when outside runs are plugged. Not much leg drive even though he churns. Below-average ball security and holds the ball too low through the line. Though his hands are adequate, he tends to body catch. Lowers his head through the line and will lose balance. Suspect balance making big cuts.

Projection: UDFA.
