Son of Cliff Stoudt, former Steelers quarterback.
All-Star Games: NFLPA Game.
Positives: Great height and adequate bulk for the position. Keeps his eyes downfield on the run. Adequate accuracy on short and medium passes. Can find open receivers if given the time. Throws with adequate arm strength. Above-average speed and shows enough lateral quickness to be difficult to bring down in the open field. Willing to dive for extra yards. Nice play fakes.
Negatives: Ran a spread offense, so he may not be ready for a conventional NFL offense. Doesn’t seem to show much escapability or sense of when the pocket collapsing. His delivery is erratic, and it varies from sidearm to three-quarter. Eyeballs receivers pretty hard, and will throw it into coverage – not seeing defenders. Misses opportunities in the red zone over the middle of field by locking onto his outside receivers. Below-average accuracy on the run and on deep passes. Doesn’t consistently step into his throws. Not much anticipation and will wait for receivers to be wide open before throwing it.
Projection: UDFA.
