Jaguars, 5th round. Mich.: Slightly below-average size for a WR or RB. Short for a QB. Above-average hand size.
Positives: Comes out of a pro-style system. Accurate on timing patterns. Above-average speed. Fair accuracy on intermediate patterns. Adequate velocity when he gets set up. Willing to be physical — blocked 300-pound DT on end-around. Patient as a runner. Good vision. Protects ball well. Willing to finish runs with power. Adequate athleticism in Combine measurements.
Negatives: Fairly long windup. Below-average arm strength, and passes float considerably. Below-average deep accuracy. Throws into coverage often. Poor decisions — often just throws ball up. Injured nerves in right elbow in November and missed two games. Below-average hands and doesn’t have strong enough hands to reel in fast passes. Suspect balance making cuts and often slips. Being used as a returner in Senior Bowl practices but is misjudging a lot of kicks. Below-average routes and rounds off many and slips making cuts, but improved by pro day.
Projection: With their poor WR depth, Robinson may be able to sneak into some heavy rotation here. Joins Jordan Shipley and fellow rookie Ace Sanders in competition for slot WR targets and may get used as an all-around athlete there. Since he’s so new to the WR position, I’d stay away from drafting him outside of very deep dynasty leagues, but keep an eye on him.
