Terrence Miller, WR/TE, Arizona

Patriots, UDFA. Originally signed as UDFA by the Jets, but was released and signed by the Patriots in August. Will probably have to stick with being a wide receiver in the pros due to lack of size and blocking ability. But he does have some receiving skills.

All-Star Games: NFLPA Collegiate Bowl.

Positives: Above-average speed. Great hand size. Soft, above-average hands and can extend for passes away from his frame well. Starts with pretty good leverage as a run blocker.

Negatives: Small for a tight end or H-back and is built more like a big wide receiver. Missed a lot of time in 2012 due to multiple injuries and redshirted. Looks lazy as a run blocker and isn’t strong or big enough to hold up for long.

Projection: Not worth a dynasty draft pick, but is worth watching.

Damian Williams, RB, Oklahoma

Dolphins, UDFA. Has pretty good running skills, but should be stronger for his size. Is probably the third- or fourth-best back on the team going in, and has a good chance to stick.

Positives: Good height and bulk for the position. Adequate hand size. Above-average speed for his position, but good for his size. Above-average quickness and has solid open-field moves. Above-average burst. Churns fairly well through contact. Above-average vertical leap.

Negatives: Below-average ball security. Not much power, and isn’t hard to bring down. Dismissed from team in November 2013 for team rule violation. Below-average upper body strength.

Projection: No need to draft, but keep an eye on his production.

WR Donte Foster, Ohio

UDFA. Signed by the Vikings as a UDFA but was released in August and put on their practice squad. I didn’t see much of him before the draft, but here’s what I saw.

Positives: Above-average height. Slightly below-average bulk for the position and height. Okay speed. Good downfield blocker. Runs tough after the catch, with effective stiff arm. Can highpoint passes in traffic. Consistently good hands and concentration in traffic. Good overall lower-body explosiveness at pro day workout. Adequate upper-body strength. Above-average ability to change directions.

Negatives: Below-average tracking and concentration over outside shoulder. Below-average ball security. Body catches at times.

Justin Perillo, TE, Maine: FCS Division

UDFA. Signed by the Packers as a UDFA but was released in August and put on their practice squad. But he has enough skills to succeed if he gets the chance.

Positives: Above-average hands and can extend, snagged and adjust well. Not easy to bring down. Adequate run blocker who can seal off defenders. Can also drive them back if he gets enough leverage. Above-average speed. Adequate downfield blocker. Fairly quick feet, and is fairly elusive in the open field. Good lateral quickness and ability to change directions.

Negatives: Though he’s a good run blocker when he gets leverage, he does that inconsistently. Needs to be more tenacious as a downfield blocker. Will watch plays develop and not block.

Projection: No need to draft, but he has enough all-around skills that he could become a solid NFL starter some day, so keep an eye on him.

Chase Rettig, QB, Boston College

UDFA. Was signed by the Packers as a UDFA but released in August.

Positives: Has experience with a pro-style offense. Okay velocity. Very good accuracy on the run. Okay speed and is willing to run. Very willing to sacrifice his body for extra yards on the run – runs very tough. Set his feet on the run for more accuracy. Nice touch on intermediate passes. Started 45 straight games in college. Goes through progressions.

Negatives: Slightly below-average accuracy on timing routes. Suspect decisions at times on the run, and will throw it across his body. Needs to take a little bit off the ball and to vary his velocity on short passes. Though he goes through his progressions at times, he tends to be slower making decision to throw and ends up telegraphing when he’s passing. Holds the ball too long.

Projection: No need to draft, but he may be an OK QB in the NFL some day.

Logan Kilgore, QB, Middle Tennessee State

UDFA. Signed by the Saints as a UDFA but released in August. Probably just a camp arm, though he has some skills that could be developed.

Positives: Has experience running spread offense with very high tempo. Above-average velocity. Shows fair escapability. He keeps his eyes downfield on the run. Okay speed and is willing to run.

Negatives: Holds the ball too long. Misses open reads. Below-average accuracy on short and medium passes. Doesn’t read defenses very well and will consistently throw it into coverage over the middle. Not very accurate on the move – doesn’t set his feet and passes become unreliable. Below-average anticipation and is late to pull the trigger in the red zone. Inconsistent throwing mechanics and will throw out of his back foot for no reason.

Projection: No need to draft or pick up.

Marcus Lucas, WR, Missouri

UDFA. Signed by the Panthers as a UDFA but was released in August.

Positives: Great height and good bulk for the position, with a long wingspan. Adequate hand size.  Tracks fairly well over his inside shoulder. Changes directions smoothly when running routes. Adequate track speed for his size. Above-average upper body strength. Adequate vertical leap and general lower body explosiveness in Combine testing.

Negatives: Below-average hands and tends to body catch. Doesn’t extend or adjust very well. Has a hard time making catches in traffic, though he did better in the Combine gauntlet drill. Is easily knocked off his feet as a run blocker. Below-average lateral quickness and ability to change directions in Combine testing.

Projection: His size and route running will help him possibly stick on a roster. He’ll have to work on his hands to do anything more than that, though, I think. No need to draft in dynasty leagues.

Henry Josey, RB, Missouri

UDFA. Was signed by the Eagles as a UDFA but released in August. Was a redshirt junior. If he can improve his blocking, I can see him potentially being a backup contributor in the NFL.

Positives: Though short for the position, he has solid bulk. Adequate hand size. Good track speed for the position. Adequate upper body strength. Above-average speed, burst, and cutback vision behind the line and in the open field. Okay hands. Above-average balance after contact. Good leg drive and can break arm tackles. Good effort for extra yards.

Negatives: Short for the position, with below-average bulk. Tore left ACL, MCL and patella in 2011 and missed 2012, returning in 2013. Below-average run blocker who lunges and misses.

Projection: Keep an eye on him and be willing to pick him up in deeper dynasty leagues if he goes to a good situation.

Trey Millard, FB/TE, Oklahoma

49ers, Round 7.

All-Star Games: Invited to Senior Bowl but declined due to injury.

Positives: Nearly TE size. Average hand size. Adequate acceleration for the size. Willing and strong run blocker when he can plow straight ahead. Has adequate hands for a fullback. Fair cutback vision.

Negatives: Lacks the quickness to block defenders in the open field. Runs below-average routes and tends to drift. Though he has OK hands, he has some trouble extending for passes away from body. Tore his ACL in October 2013, had surgery, and missed the rest of the season as well as his March pro day.

Projection: As mostly a blocking fullback, he doesn’t really have fantasy value.

Marion Grice, RB, Arizona State

Chargers, Round 6. Waived in September.

Positives: Great height for the position. Shifty in the open field. Above-average speed. Fair cutback vision. Fairly patient. Okay burst and speed. Okay hands. Good body lean.

Negatives: Leans rather than churns through contact. Runs a little upright. Missed end of 2013 season, bowl game, Senior Bowl and Pro Day with leg injury. Below-average bulk for the position and the height. Built more like a wide receiver than a running back.

Projection: No need to draft him.
