Dakota Gordon, FB, San Diego State – 2016

Positives: A former wrestler who seems like a classic West Coast offense fullback. Has above-average hands and can extend well for passes away from his body. He shows good concentration and consistently brings in passes while being hit. Adequate body control and can bring in passes thrown behind him. Nimble on the sidelines and can tiptoe his way down the field. Not easy to bring down – above-average strength and will bowl over the first tackler. Finishes runs strong with impact. Very good second and third effort in short-yardage situations. Strong run blocker who goes up to meet defenders and can knock them back. He also maintains his blocks well – keeping his feet moving and churning, driving defenders back. Strong pass protector will rise up to meet defenders and knock them back on impact. Consistently knocks defenders back. Is basically a movable wall.

Projection: Undrafted free agent since so few fullbacks get drafted in the NFL, but he should be a solid addition to a team that needs one.
