Stefon Diggs, WR/KR, Maryland – 2015

Junior who has declared for the 2015 NFL draft.

Positives: Has adequate height and bulk for the position. Runs with above-average speed and lateral quickness for the position. Shows above average routes, and will get separation on his comeback routes. Has generally good, quick hands, and can extend well to snag fast passes. Above-average hands in traffic. Above-average body control to be able to adjust for difficult catches. Is nimble on the sidelines to comes down with both feet. Gets upfield quickly after the catch with nice acceleration. Good vision in the open field and has the quickness to be able to pick his way for extra yards. Sets up his blockers well downfield. Quick enough to change directions and reverse field on end-around runs.

Negatives: Below-average upper-body strength and isn’t very physical with cornerbacks. Not much of a downfield blocker. Looks a little contact shy over the middle of the field. Broke left fibula in October 2013 and missed rest of season. Suspended by team for one game in November 2014 for bumping an umpire. Lacerated kidney in November 2014 and missed rest of regular season but was back for the bowl game.

Projection: Round 5.
