Matt Miller, WR, Boise State – 2015

Was a redshirt senior.

Positives: Has very good height and bulk for the position. Runs with adequate speed and quickness. Though inconsistent, he has adequate hands, and can extend for passes at times. Okay concentration on passes in traffic, and shows above-average ability to track passes over his inside shoulder. Consistently good downfield blocker, who seems determined to maintain his blocks. Was also the team’s holder on field goals.

Negatives: Runs below-average routes and tends to cut them short of first down. Not very quick and, though his game speed seemed adequate, he ran with below-average speed at his Pro Day. Poor upper-body strength. Hands are inconsistent, and he tends to body catch and bobble passes away from his frame. Suspect balance making cuts. Below-average vision after the catch, and will run into contact – doesn’t offer much after the catch. Out for 2014 season due to left ankle sprain and surgery.

Projection: UDFA.
