Eric Tomlinson, TE/OL, Texas-El Paso – 2015

All-Star Games: NFLPA Game.

Positives: Has good height and bulk for the position – and is nearly big enough to be an offensive lineman. Though his hands aren’t all that good, he is able to extend and one-hand passes. Is able to adjust to passes thrown behind him. Can hold the ball with a big hit. Not easy to bring down after the catch. Fair concentration on tipped passes.

Negatives: Below-average speed for the position. Generally below-average hands – will double-clutch some. Seems to have below-average hand-eye coordination and has trouble tracking passes.

Projection: Round 7. Though athletically limited, his size – and the fact that he may be able to be used as a goal-line tight end – give him a shot at a roster.
