Cameron Clear, TE, Texas A&M – 2015

Transferred from junior college in 2013 and also from Tennessee.

Positives: Very good height and great bulk for the position. Above-average hands in general. Tracks pretty well over his outside shoulder. Fair concentration on contested passes. Not easy to bring down. Is a fullback on punt team. Adequate run blocker when he only has to push forward.

Negatives: Will body catch at times. Below-average speed and explosiveness. Poor run blocker on the outside when he has to move his feet. Is consistently very slow to attack defenders as a run blocker on outside runs, and will get in his own runner’s way most of the time. Will leave his feet and lower his head as a run blocker and then get beaten by outside moves. Needs to work back to the quarterback on scramble drill. Seems a little slow off the line. Poor routes and is slow into and out of his breaks. Hyperextended left elbow in 2014 season and wasn’t fully recovered by mid-March.

Projection: UDFA.
