Juwan Thompson, RB, Duke

Broncos, UDFA. Is a good effort guy who can contribute somewhat to an offense. But his true value for the team would be on special teams.

Positives: Above-average hands. Adjusts well to back-shoulder pass. Above-average burst. Gets low through the line. Okay speed. Protects the ball well through the line, with both hands on the ball. Good second effort and churns through contact while maintaining balance. Experienced special-teams player who led his team in special-teams tackles in 2013. Good cutback vision and moves well laterally — with a good jump cut.

Negatives: Has some trouble extending for passes away from his body, and prefers to body catch.

Projection: Likely to make the roster and back up Ronnie Hillman as a third-down back, and could put up RB3 numbers if he starts. Worth a late-round flier in dynasty rookie drafts if you have roster space.
