RB DJ Monroe, Texas

Buccaneers, UDFA. Tex.: Small size. Below-average hand size.

Positives: Versatile weapon who played both WR and RB. Good speed and acceleration. Nimble and quick feet, able to make good cuts. Adequate hands. Very good burst. Above-average change-of-direction ability. Patient and decisive on KR and waits for blocks to develop. Is patient as RB on inside runs and waits for blocks. Willing blocker. Above-average balance after contact.

Negatives: Below-average power and tends to lean instead of churn through contact.

Projection: Is buried on the Buccaneers depth chart, but with probably four RBs ahead of him, he may not stick on the roster. Best chance is to stick as a returner or on another team. No need to draft, but he does have NFL abilities.
