49ers, 1st round. Ill.: Average size. Above-average hand size. Not on early Shrine Game roster, but added before practice week. Chiefs and Bills have shown interest.

Positives: Crisp routes. Good balance after contact. Good hands and foot control on sideline. Good hands in traffic. Very good speed, quickness and acceleration. Extends arms to snag passes.

Negatives: Below-average hands when tracking passes over shoulder. Below-average upper-body strength.

Projection: Has a fairly crowded depth chart ahead of him on 49ers, with Moss, Manningham, and Crabtree ahead of him. I expect him to be a very good slot WR in the NFL, and has WR2 potential, but likely won’t reach that level for a year or so. Draft and stash as future WR2.
