RB Dan Herron, Ohio State

Bengals, 6th round. Ohio St.: Slightly below-average height, but adequate build. Average hand size.

Positives: Finishes with power, runs through arm tackles, and keeps legs moving after contact. Quick feet and changes direction fairly quickly. Switches hands well. Balanced. Moves well laterally. Patient. Good hands and can extend to catch away from frame. Usually moves forward with contact. Good stiff-arm. Above-average upper-body strength.

Negatives: Below-average speed. Suspect ball security. Suspended for first 6 games of 2011 due to NCAA violation. Runs slightly upright. Lunges and lowers head in pass blocking.

Projection: Should be immediate backup to BenJarvus Green-Ellis on Bengals, and is a potential RB3 if he gets a chance to start. Worth drafting as a handcuff.
