Marcus Lucas, WR, Missouri

UDFA. Signed by the Panthers as a UDFA but was released in August.

Positives: Great height and good bulk for the position, with a long wingspan. Adequate hand size.  Tracks fairly well over his inside shoulder. Changes directions smoothly when running routes. Adequate track speed for his size. Above-average upper body strength. Adequate vertical leap and general lower body explosiveness in Combine testing.

Negatives: Below-average hands and tends to body catch. Doesn’t extend or adjust very well. Has a hard time making catches in traffic, though he did better in the Combine gauntlet drill. Is easily knocked off his feet as a run blocker. Below-average lateral quickness and ability to change directions in Combine testing.

Projection: His size and route running will help him possibly stick on a roster. He’ll have to work on his hands to do anything more than that, though, I think. No need to draft in dynasty leagues.
